The World Affairs Council of Houston is proud to partner with The Africa Society of the National Summit on Africa, Discovery Channel Global Education Partnership, and the Travel Channel for a U.S. Agency for International Development-funded Africa-education orientation program.

- For middle and high school students, no limit of students per school
- This forum is a curricular field trip for HISD schools
- No cost! Bus reimbursements can be provided upon request

Get Ready for Teach Africa - Classroom Projects & Student ParticipationStudents are invited to participate in the Teach Africa Student Forum with travel brochures, cultural studies or performance, or country posters. Teachers can assign these projects in February since this is when Africa is taught in many districts. Prizes will be awarded for the most outstanding entries.

  2. The programs appears as if it is going to be a great success. All the schools in Houston should try and be there to learn more about Africa. There is a rich culture that American have yet to tap into and learn about. I cant wait for the event!
